Many years ago, as a teenager in the '60s, I fell in love with the music of Brian Wilson and the Beach Boys and decided I was going to be a songwriter. Later, I discovered Kris Kristofferson, John Prine, Mickey Newbury, Billy Joe Shaver, Guy Clark and the rest of that crowd and set out to write some country songs.
Lucky for me, I also got a job at the post office.
These are homemade demo tapes of some of the songs I've written over the years. I hope you'll listen to the samples and maybe find one or two you like.
Nelson Lavers said of "Ain't it sad the way a train can let you down: " Man ...you really have something special with this one ....pretty much a perfect song."
