Jeff D'Antona, 25, is a gifted pianist, improviser, and composer/arranger. Jeff's inventive compositions, equally arranged and improvised, wrap classically-inspired melodic themes and rich jazz-influenced harmonies in irresistible Afro-Cuban and hip-hop rhythms. D'Antona's repertoire choices are as unique as his original music. His trio performs their creative renditions of pieces by a broad array of composers, ranging from Rodgers and Hart to Thelonious Monk to Radiohead. Whether improvising over his own piece, a well-known jazz standard, or a contemporary pop song, D’Antona sensitively uses his musical facility to convey a full range human emotion, from sadness and frustration to joy and excitement.

The Jeff D'Antona Trio, featuring Jeff D'Antona on piano and Fender Rhodes, Makaya McCraven on drums, and Tristan Gutner on bass, have been exhilarating audiences with their dynamic live performances since the Summer of 2007. Their first CD, Offering, is a live recording of their January 2007 performance at the Pushkin Gallery in Greenfield, MA.
