"here we are, tuned up, dressed up, and ready to roll. lights, camera, voices ready! this dvd should give you an idea of the kind of fun that people can have when they make music together. it may have you imagining that a banjo-ukulele is a very good idea for a girl in over-alls, or anyone else for that matter. i'm sure it will get you thinking that drummers have all the fun (not true) or that your piano lessons are probably going to lead you to the accordion (very possible).

perhaps the deep sound of the upright bass will have you so entranced that you dream about it at night (if you're not dreaming about tubas). maybe you won't even notice the instruments because you'll be so interested in the way the we look at each other when we're belting out a song (you may be thinking who needs instruments anyway when you have a voice? good question). i hope that when the last note of the last tune fades away that you feel like making some music of your own. fill your head with songs and start a family band! gather together with neighbors and sing until long after dark!

make your world a musical one! music brings us together so we can all laugh, cry, dance with wild abandon and when it's over have a good night's sleep. "

    My 2 year old son loves this DVD, and will request to hear the song 'Strike the Bell'. As he watches it he is copying the hand gestures and words to the song! He also loves the video of 'Hello' and 'Emmanuel Road' which he refers to as 'the Toucan song'. We love his DVD!

    My boys adore DZ & F, this DVD has taken us from singing along and dancing in the car to full on stage productions in our living room. My eldest holds his ukulele and harmonica in mouth whilst walking, playing and singing along to this DVD. His baby brother follows him, all the while dancing.     My almost three year old daughter fell in love with "Hello" when she saw the video on TV. We thought we were buying this DVD for just that song but boy were we wrong. This is great family entertainment. There are several tunes here I find myself humming at work and I think my wife likes the concert songs just as much as my daughter. Thank you Dan Zanes and Friends for making music that moms and dads can enjoy with their children instead of the traditional kids music that seemed designed to annoy the parents. We watch this every night.

    This is a perfect way to feel good about letting your child watch TV. The DVD is fun-filled packed with great songs. I think we have all lost a few pounds dancing to Zanes tunes - its impossible to sit through this DVD - you just have to get up and dance with your kids!

    We really like the video clips from Noggin because they are familiar. My son will watch a few of the concert videos, but always asks to see "all around the kitchen" or "house party time." I like how the dvd menu is divided between videos & concert songs.

    This DVD is outstanding!! The only problem with it is that my son and I want more of it! :-) Since we received it we have watched it at least twice a day. This has motivated my son to learn how to use the remote control for the DVD and can select the songs he'd like to watch/hear if he'd rather not watch the whole DVD. Father Goose is a huge hit, along with Dan (of course) and Dan's friends! He accompanies the DVD with his drum, guitar, harmonica, and of course sings and dances along!! GREAT JOB!!!!

    We love this. Originally saw some of these on Noggin but the in concert footage really brings out something special to the whole experience. After watching this I found out that they are going to be close by in concert soon and bought tickets for me and my 2 year old. I can't wait!

    As an ex New Yorker living in London the Dan Zanes DVD not only makes me less homesick, my 21 month old son walks up to the TV and can often be heard asking "watch Dan Zanes?" He is mesmerised by the sights and sounds and plays along on his toy guitar. I blame you Dan if he turns out to be a musician! Love the Poster!

    When Dan Zane came on the Noggin channel, my grandaughter would jump up and begin to dance and spin around. The next week she began to sing along and dance when we tuned in. I ordered the DVD for her and we "exercise," dancing together. It is the only DVD we own and we love it!

    We became Dan Zanes and Friends uberfans after seeing them in concert last year in Ann Arbor. We own their every CD and listen to them daily. Our car rides have morphed into sing-alongs. Needless to say, when this DVD was released we preordered it immediately.
