SHARE A BEAUTIFUL RAINBOW WORLD WITH ME!

The new cd by award-winning children’s performer DARIA is titled BEAUTIFUL RAINBOW WORLD, and presents songs from African, Caribbean, Australian, Latin American, Quechua, Native American, Hebrew, Arabic, Yiddish and African-American tradition. DARIA, a touring and performing world musician lives in Pennsylvania and has the most awesome job of traveling the world and singing for kids.

This album features a didgeridoo track with some amazing didg playing by Karl Sangree. “Do The Limbo” was a favorite of my Middle East 2006 tour. (I guess if you can belly-dance – then the limbo is a piece of cake!) There’s a South African style version of Kumbayah that is dedicated to Vusi Mahasela – known as “the voice” of South Africa.

Songs about peace and a new vision for the planet include Salaam, Shalom , Down By the Riverside and Whole New World. Songs in Spanish include Bate, Bate Chocolate and Ese Pollito. And – at last – I have finally included a song in Quechua – the language that I speak from South America – the language of the Incan Empire. That song is called “Yaw, Yaw Puka Polleracha”. I dedicate this song to all my Peruvian friends…con todo cariño.

I hope you enjoy the music I make. I hope it inspires and empowers your children and yourself as well! I also hope that my music and my story inspires you to have a vision of yourself in a bright new world – one where you live and create the life of your dreams.
