Dario’s songs on “1000 Millas” certainly matter—Dario shares his life with you through songs such as the soulful first single, “1000 Millas,” an eclectic mix of Latin/Rock/Pop and Funk, ladened with catchy hooks and melodies ready for airplay and audience sing-alongs. He doesn’t hesitate to bare his soul in his intimate lyrics for “Sin Ti,” a ballad written for his grandmother and you can’t help but to move to the funky Miami club sounds of “Pensando En Ti.” His versatility is further evident as his voice takes on a Jamaican rapping style in the reggae-tinged song, “Nadie Mas.” Each and every one of his songs are very personal and come straight from the center of Dario’s heart and world.

Dario’s versatile vocal stylings made the decision an easy one for Toby to steer the album into the direction of classic legendary greats such as Julio Iglesias and Marc Anthony and of pop stars Ricky Martin and Eros Ramazzotti. Dario and Toby agree that the overproduced songs of today lose so much in the figurative and literal translation of the unique and wonderful style of Latin music.
