cd lives up to its title
author: Jason Pheifer
Darlene Hixson's debut cd "Dangerously Deep" lives up to it's title. Her songwriting is beautifulliy simple yet still poetic. The high point on this one is "Flowers" which is an excellent comentary on the souls need for genuine sustanance rather than lofty platitudes and ideals.
It's chourous rings "don't bring me flowers when I am starving." Right on sista! If this is what Darlene does for starters I can't wait to see what's next.
