Texas born and Mississippi raised southern boy now making the midwest his home. James' inspiration comes from many places but fundamentally grounded in the South. His style is very southern rock-and-roll with a country/folk flare. His perspective is sometimes odd but it eventually gets right back around in your face like an old friend you haven't seen for awhile. His classical guitar and vocals reminiscent of early Cat Stevens mixed with more traditional rock instruments gives his music a very unique sound.
