Darrell Ellis began performing professionally when he was 13, although he held a guitar in his hands for the first time when he was only 2 years old. He only performs classic country and western music in the style of artists such as Ernest Tubb, Hank Williams, Hank Thompson, Lefty Frizzell, Faron Young, George Jones, and Buck Owens to name a few. You won't hear any "modern country" at a Darrell Ellis show. At a young age, Darrell learned to appreciate and respect the pioneers who created country music and this passion shows in his performances. His on-stage repertoire typically spans songs that were hits from the 1940s through the 1960s, but sometimes Darrell will reach back as far as the 1920s or as recent as the 1980s.

This 12-song CD showcases Darrell's love of traditional country music. Songs include such instrumental classics as "Steel Guitar Rag" and "Wildwood Flower", plus rare gems like "Five Minutes of the Latest Blues" and "The Only Girl I Can't Forget", as well as the title track, Ellis' self-penned "Your Secret's Safe With Me" among others.
