notes
Darren Mullins has been playing music for nearly 20 years. Darren first started by playing the Rock and Roll music from the Golden age of Rock and Roll (1955-1963) and then branched out to include country and Traditional Irish Music in his offerings.
Darren has performed in The United States, Japan and South Korea and has performed shows with Danny and the Juniors who are famous for the 1957 recording of At The Hop.
Darren's influences include Buddy Holly and the Crickets, Ritchie Valens, the Irish Rovers, Diamond Rio, Marty Robbins and many others.
Darren's new CD is a collection of traditional Irish tunes that Darren covered by combining the influences of The Irish Rovers and Buddy Holly. The songs are traditional tunes with traditional melodies, but the band is made up of two electric guitars, bass and drums, which is the standard lineup for a Rock and Roll band that was created by Buddy Holly.
