Darryl Williams is an outstanding Composer, Bassist, and Producer. He has spent many years perfoming with recording artist such as Chaka Khan, Brenda Russell,Tevin Cambell, Howard Hewitt, Angela Bofill, Skip Martin, and smooth jazz artist Euge Groove, A.Ray Fuller, Jeff Lorber, Jessy J., Jeff Golub, Everette Harp, Evan Marks, Ronnie Foster, Patrick Yandall, Hollis Gentry and many more. His first solo CD entitled "That Was Then" has some great song writing, as well as great musical perfomances. Darryl managed to pull the best out of every musician (artist) he used on this project. The music on this CD is sure to stand the test of 'Time".

I have been contemplating purchasing this cd most of 2008 and finally did. I am pleasantly surprised. It is an outstanding production from writing to arranging. I am enjoying every song. Mr. Williams plays such a mellow bass. A style all his own. I appreciate his authenticity. This cd is a must for any music lover, regardless of their personal preference. Thank you Darryl Williams for sharing your gifts. Your efforts are soul satisfying. To God be the Gloty.

So Smooth, So Good

This was a chance buy. I heard the samples, and I knew this was an artist on the move. The CD surpassed all expectations. A perfect mix of smooth grooves and vocals. This should be added to any Smooth Jazz collection. I look forward to the next album from Darryl.
