Darvoset, a Southern California based band, plays Synth based music with powerful and sultry female vocals. Melodic, electronic rock that's dark, sexy and danceable. Best way to describe Darvoset is they take influences from each decade of music: 60's British invasion (melodies, songwriting) meets 70's disco and punk (attitude, energy, danciness), meets 80's new wave and synth pop (image, production, keyboards), meets 90's alternative and Industrial/goth (sexual, jaded, metaphoric and thought provoking lyrics). Darvoset is not afraid to do what they want; happy or sad, dark or light.
Darvoset has no silly self imposed "rules" to their creation of music. Their influences range from Metallica to the Bee Gees, The Beatles to Depeche Mode, and everything in between. See for yourself and you'll get a better understanding of what they've achieved. The band never knows what mood will come out of them, but one thing's for sure, Darvoset will continue to explore all forms of music, and will produce quality songs every "type" of music fan can find something to enjoy.
***Knocking Down Systems', Darvoset's upcoming 2nd full length album will be available shortly on CDBABY.***

A well deserved 5 star rating. One of the first albums in a while thats great from start to finish. They remind me a lot of my old favorites from the past, but bring a new and exciting twist to their music. I'd have to say the stand out tracks (my favorites) are Feels Like, Hypnotized, Underneath, Never See Me Cry and Forbidden. The only mystery to me is why these guys and gal are not signed to a major yet.
