Powerful and unstoppable Chilean Techno producer.
Darybass was born in La Serena in 1973. At the age of 14 he was introduced to the audio editing in reel tapes, were his cousin was making extended version of tracks from Depeche Mode, Yazoo, Duran Duran, Information Society and some other well known artists at the time. Later, Darybass decides to work as a DJ over his whole childhood in several clubs of Copiapó, where he spent most of his adolescence.
Later, along with some friends, Darybass was involved in the perfection of remixes in multi-track machines by handling the pitch, tones and anything else that could become available for analog adjustment. Since they were always close to the visual aspect of things, they began to experiment with videos on Dj/Vj performances; this in 1993 and 1994 was an evolution in the northern Chilean clubs. His passion for his career made him decide to go to Santiago and study audiovisual communications, where he found the magic of mixing sounds and images.
Some years pass and Darybass became a successful editor in the advertisement Chilean world, but always sticking to his passion by having a pair of turntables at his side, constantly experimenting with new sounds and creating his own in-house-remix-versions. This new tracks became eventually well known and he decides to take it to the next level: Music Production. By experimenting with several platforms like Reason, Acid, Coll Edit and more, he started to walk through a lot of musical styles like house, progressive, trance and drum and bass, but it became clear to him that it was in Techno were he could mix all his bpm, percussions, synths, noises and magic ingredients in a way to fully express his energy and joy when creating this innovative new sounds.
With the same strength he creates interesting compositions, Darybass develops powerful and unstoppable DJ sets, creating an uplifting ambient by always making great contact with his audience and maintaining a lot of personality. All this elements together along with a clean mixing technique, let see how all the elements he handles while spinning or producing become a clear extension of his creativity.
