Album Notes

Dash Red is a rock band out of Chicago. Their style of music has been compared to that of Collective Soul, Tom Petty, Soul Asylum and Counting Crows. The unique blend of electric and acoustic guitars, mixed with their distinct lead vocals and melodic harmonies, set them apart from anything you've heard before.

The band members are friends of more than 20 years. Though each artist has performed with other groups and as solo artists, they have come together to create a comfortable and creative atmosphere. Their music is truly original with many varied influences.

Jim Kupres (Electric & Acoustic Guitar, Vocals) drives the band with most of the creative initiative. Paul Waverly (Electric Guitars, Vocals) creates and adds wailing solos and Memphis-influenced accentuations. Bill Soltis (Bass, Vocals) holds down the bottom with a funky/rock/jazz rhythm. Bill also plays the acoustic guitar. Ken Kazin is the percussionist. Besides drums you will hear bongos, congas, timbales, and several other percussion instruments. He also contributes to the harmonies. Mark Korres rounds out the group as lead vocalist and acoustic guitarist.

Dash Red hopes you will take the time to listen to the audio samples and buy the CD. They also hope you come out to visit them at their next gig.
