After an almost two year recording hiatus Dave Cox is back and better than ever. “Over And Out” features more of Dave’s unique spin on true country music with his distinctive writing style. Contained here are a lot of the songs that have been requested day after day over the past couple years at his shows in the honkytonks on Nashville’s Lower Broadway that were never available on a CD until now.
This album features the provocative lyrics that Cox has been known for in such songs as “My Neighbor’s Ass”, “The Color of Your Soul” and “Twice”- all the while being backed by some of Nashville’s most talented musicians. From the hillbilly strains of “It’s Hard to Sing the Blues” to the Roger Miller influenced “The Opposite of Me” this album features that authentic REAL country sound combined with unconventionally superb lyrics that Cox fans have enjoyed on his previous albums.
An added bonus contained here is the final track- “Extravaganza!” which is over 22 minutes long and features seven songs from Cox’s recent past. Yes, you read correctly- a seven song medley closes the album. So while there are 15 tracks here an actual 21 songs comprise this CD- over an hour of some of the most unique and countrified country music that you can get your hands on!
If you’re a fan of true country music then you will most definitely enjoy this album and all of Dave Cox's CDs. For info on Dave's previous releases go to DaveCoxMusic.com or you can see the entire Cox library on CD Baby at this address: http://cdbaby.com/all/davecox

Saw Dave and his band perform at Robert's in Nash-
ville. Real country music and not the pop-rock
stuff major labels still call country.

After Dave's last CD I was curious how he would follow-up. Once again I was not disappointed. Dave Cox provides us with the funny and quirky music we would love to be able to hear on the radio but never do. I quit listening to "country music" on the radio a few years ago. Dave Cox is what I enjoy today. Thanks Dave!
