Album Notes

For years dynamic vocals and percussive, groove oriented guitar work have fueled Davee's fast paced live shows. Nearly impossible to pigeonhole, his musical styles range from traditional Bottleneck-style Blues to Americana and his own brand of A3 Radio ready material. Summing up the last several years, wanderlust comes to mind, performing on 3 continents and 32 of the contiguous United States.

Davee spent most of the 80s in the San Francisco Bay Area, releasing an indie LP ( now out of print ), garnering favorable live reviews and nominations for local music awards. During this West Coast stay, Davee joined up with Blues journeyman, B-3 wizard, Deacon Jones. While with Deacon, Davee played onstage with Grammy Award winner John Lee Hooker, Elvin Bishop, Larry "Arkansas" Davis and others. After leaving Jones' employ in late '88, Davee formed the Davee Bryan Band. During this period, he balanced solo shows with fronting the band and performing onstage with other artists including Greg Allman, Tommy Castro and Coco Montoya.

Relocating to Texas in '93, Davee wasted no time in showing his diversity, performing live with a wide range of acts including The Legendary Bama Band (Hank Jr's touring unit), Mark May, Chris Duarte and Texas Blues great Joe "Guitar" Hughes. Along with Hughes, Davee played several concert events. He has also appeared with Pete Mays, Shemekia Copeland, and W.C. Handy Award nominee Trudy Lynn. Live radio spots have included the syndicated Stevens and Pruett Morning Show and Pacifica Radio.

Two European-Mediterranean tours in the early '80s preceded two more recent solo outings to the Middle East, where feature articles appeared in two major Arabian Peninsular publications: Kaleej Times and Gulf News. On the same tour, material that would be included on "IS ANYONE DRIVING THIS BUS? " was featured at Dave Murphy's Songwriter Showcase in Dublin, Ireland.

Davee has opened for a variety of National Acts including: Jerry Jeff Walker, Little Charlie & the Nightcats, Cajun fiddle sensation Doug Kershaw, Tommy Castro, David Allan Coe, Johnny Paycheck, slide guitar virtuoso Roy Rogers, Gary P Nunn, Dale Watson, Hubert Sumlin, Pinetop Perkins, Marcia Ball, Lou Ann Barton & Angela Strehli with Antone's Houseband, Chicagoland fave Michael McDermott, Corey Harris and Womens' Music Pioneer June Millington.

Meanwhile, At The Movies...With Texas singer/songwriter Ken Gaines, Davee contributed scoring and soundtrack material to independent director Jennifer Payson's debut "Blue Days Lost". On the other side of the camera, Davee was featured in the indie flick "Going Independent".
