Album Notes

For Immediate Release
(Detroit,MI)
Scorpion/Hanzie Records announce the release of veteran Detroit rock vocalist "Dave Edwards" debut solo CD "Take Another Look" which is being described as "Pure Rock and Roll". Dave Edwards has been well known to Detroit audiences for years as the lead singer of "The Look". The Look's original line up in the early 80's recorded albums for labels such as Fantasy and A&M Records and had some national success. They had videos on MTV (during the music channels infancy)and appeared on Dick Clark's "American Bandstand". They toured throughout the U.S. and Canada and had record sales and airplay in Europe. Since 1990 "The Look" have gone through various line-ups and personnel changes throughout the past 15 years, but still managed to release a CD entitled "Look Who's Rockin" in 1997 on the Dave Edwards' owned label Scorpion Records and a compilation called "A Collection For The Record" in 2003 also on Scorpion. Vocalist Dave Edwards has now partnered with veteran Long Island New York born guitarist and producer Bob Monteleone who is the Hanzie Record's CEO. Bob is best known for his work with Detroit reggae band "Black Market" and in his "spare time" produces other acts for his label. Besides playing many of the instruments on "Take Another Look" Bob also has a duo called "Luck and Trouble" with former "Refreshments" guitarist, songwriter Brian Blush who co-wrote the theme for the TV show "King of the Hill". Bob and Dave hooked up in 2001 (Bob was in "The Look" 1990-92) to record "Let's Make Love" and "Giving It Up for Your Love" at famed Producer Eric Morgeson's Studio A. Eric and his Studio A have recorded some of the all time greats like Aretha Franklin, Bob Seger, Uncle Kracker and Eminem. Dave and Bob had so much fun during the Studio A sessions that they decided move the recording to Bob's "Nothing Fancy" Studios to finish the rest of "Take Another Look", which include songs saved from a lifetime of performing. "Take Another Look" is an attempt to rein in all of Dave's various musical interests in one package. It veers from the straight ahead Rock and Roll of the 1st single "I Found Somebody" to "Jenny In A Silhouette" which features "Mitch Ryder's Detroit Wheels/The Rockets" legends "Jim McCarty" on guitar and "Wheels/Rockets" drummer Johnny "Bee" Badanjek (who not only wrote the song but painted the CD's cover), and the self penned "Loosen Up" to the funk soul/jazz of "Everything That You Do (Will Come Back to You)" and the bedroom ballad "Let's Make Love". "Take Another Look" is being distributed world wide by Oasis CDs on-line at Amazon.com, CDbaby.com, Target.com, Borders.com, Virginmega.com, Waldenbooks.com, TowerRecords.com. The CD's songs are also available in the iTunes music store. Oasis has released a compilation which includes "Lets Make Love" to Media and Radio. So "Look" for it soon.
