Dave Gossage well known Montreal musician and former member of the critically acclaimed Celtic band “OREALIS” has a new band. The group includes some of Montreals finest celtic musicians,of course theres Dave,a multi-instrumentalist beyond compare,playing flutes,whistles and guitar.Dave’s two brothers,jazz drummer Thom Gossage,who has played with everyone from Dave Binney (N.Y.C)to Remi bolduc and the MacGarrigle Sisters,and bassist Bill Gossage (Susi Arioli,Connie Kaldor).The incredible fiddler Jonathan Moorman(John Mcdermott,The Mahones) and singer guitarist Michael Ayles who has played with some of Quebecs finest traditional bands such as Genticorum and his own Le Part De Queteux.
Daves new C.D. “Dave Gossage and the Celtic Mindwarp” is an upbeat,bang on the head,full intensity celtic bomb,featuring flashy reels and jigs,high powered songs and intricate arrangements influenced by Daves extensive musical experiences.These include Jazz,African Music,Rhythm and Blues,Drum/Bass,Indian Music and of course Irish and Scottish traditional music.
The C.D. also features two great guests,Dave’s own son,the upcoming Henry”Bud”Rice on vocals and Glengarry’s fiddle sensation Ashley Macleod
