In his solo debut, Dave Martyn takes the listener for a ride on the roller coaster of faith, love, and commitment. This eclectic set of songs, which draws from world music, jazz, pop, r&b and rock, is carefully crafted into a concept album tells a story that is both deeply personal and universal.

The album, which was single-handedly written, performed and produced by Dave, takes the listener on a "joyride" through the exhilaration, contemplation, frustration, and peace that one experiences as a romance grows and matures. Many of the lyrics are rooted in the book of Psalms, but they bear a contemporary style and a disarming earnestness. At the core of each song is a memorable melody and a heartfelt expression of something that is both beautiful and powerful.

Whether you're a headbanger or hepcat, young or old, you will hear new sounds and contemplate new ideas each time you take the "joyride."
