Two of life's greatest gifts are to play music and travel the world. Being a musician has brought me to many wondrous places , for which I am humbly grateful. Freedance has had quite a few adventures out on the road. This date was part of the annual Radio France Festival that takes place in Montpellier, within the walls of a roman prison. The stage was quite high while the audience sat in bleachers, stadium style. It is in these concert settings that we as musicians realize the importance of the audience and how big of a role they play in the performance. The only way I can try to explain this phenomenon is that both the musician and listener are contributing energy that combined, can make for an electrifying experience. I hope that you feel some of those sparks.
As a band that has traveled for many years, one couldn't find a better group of friends to be in a van with. Somehow, they all find room in their suitcases for extra barrels of laughter. I'd like to express my deepest gratitude to Rez, John and Tony for making it all possible and for bringing great inspiration to the music.
