Album Notes

Artist / Arranger / Composer/

Music has always been an integral part in the life of David Anthony. From his early introduction to his first musical instrument, (trumpet) the torch for making melodies quickly lit a fire in his soul. His first professional gig was as a keyboardist with “The Montclair’s,” an East St. Louis based R&B vocal group, where singer Phil Perry made his debut and now enjoys a successful solo career. David now tours with and is the musical director for Rock & Roll Hall of Fame’s, “The Impressions” who recently celebrated 50 years in entertainment with a sold out concert that was backed by The Chattanooga Symphony Orchestra. David’s arrangements of Curtis Mayfield’s storybook of songs echoed through the performance hall when the 50-piece orchestra struck up the first note. During his travels David has shared the stage with the likes of George Duke, Lakeside, Leroy Hutson, The Stylistics, Little Anthony and The Imperials, Zapp, The Dennis Edwards Temptation Revue, The Manhattans, Little Richard, The SOS Band, Rose Royce, The Delfonics, and “The Iceman” Jerry Butler just to name a few. He also serves as a Musical Director for Ultimate Tours, “It’s All About Doo Wop” concert series. When at home, he leads “The Gentlemen’s Jazz Quartet,” and ensemble of talented musicians playing smooth jazz and classic soul.
