David Andrew Wiebe's solo debut features 10 original Folk-Rock songs resulting from a particularly difficult year in his life. In 2005 David's cousin Mitch took his own life, his band decided to take an extended break, and relational conflicts and tension soared to an unprecedented high. The Bluesy "Six Sides" talks about his frustration with previous band work, the atmospheric "Not By A Long Shot" outlines his struggle with trying to live up to an ideal, and the blistering "Between The Lines" expresses what it's like to be on a path that's coming to an end. This powerfully emotional and heartfelt effort is highlighted by David's seemingly boundless creativity and guitar virtuosity. The music ranges from Rock and Blues to Jazz and Funk, and sets the groundwork for future releases from this gifted Canadian. Visit his website for more information: www.daw-music.com.

Excellent!

Hey! I thought this cd was very well done, and yes, quite improved from Lightly Toasted Touche(but that cd's good too!) Anyway, I think that the guitar solos and other instrumentals were very good, but vocals could use a little bit of work. Other than that, lyrics were good, and overall the cd was far better than a LOT of other, better known artists out there.

Refreshing Album

The CD is simply awesome and new. I can tell that a perfect combo of instruments all came together to produce this album. It has a refreshing sound and (for some reason) reminds me of the summer.

Musically very interesting. Lower vocal range sounds promising but the quality needs work, worst on the hyphenated syllables. Lyrics are the weakest part. I'd like to hear further developments.
