Cafe of the Cartoon Moon

by David Briggs

These songs are created in an acoustic style with jazz over tones, and a slice of life story line. They may very well touch your life as they are all pieces of mine.

ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Growing up I kept music around me in one way or an other all the time. I was and still am greatly influenced by the lyrics of Neil Young. I always felt that rather than cryptic Neil Young's songs were spacious enough to leave room for the listeners ideas as well. I was all so impressed by the sounds of Leo Kottke later in my career I would be influenced by and meet Peter Case an artist with a similar take on writing as my own. The projects on Cafe of the Cartoon Moon are small slices of my life, put into song. Some times each verse tells another story and some times the song is only one story. Doing this project was great fun.
