David Bruce Whitley was born in Washington D.C. on November 12, 1968. He began singing at the age of 4 in his home church. He received his High School Diploma from The Duke Ellington School of the Performing Arts. At 17 years old, he moved to New York City where he received his Bachelor of Music from the Manhattan School of Music. He then went on to receive his Masters of Music from the Juilliard School of Music. He has toured extensively all throughout the United States and Europe. As well as working with a number of professional recording Artist. David has been on stages throughout the Globe from Broadway to Germany.

On March 13, 2008 David released his 5th CD titled, “He’s My Cup” to which he is already receiving rave reviews. The 14 tracks included on this album will have you eagerly anticipating the next, this CD will be sure to take you to a place of serenity. “Could You Be Messiah,” soared to the Top 10 on the Christian Music boards and if this is any indications, you can be sure more praise to follow.

Could You Be Messiah- It is clear why this song jumped to the top 10 on the Christian Music boards. Could You Be Messiah, is David at his BEST! Each note that is sung is sung with such determination and such dedication. David has found his Messiah
