Steppin Out is a culmination of years of playing and writing. It is an exploration of style and growth as a musician, song writer and recording engineer. After two years in the studio we feel that a very special effort has emerged. Recorded in a private studio I was able to take the time to explore my identity as a musician, song writer and recording engineer. The studio grew along with the album. When a particular sound was desired many times it was necessary to research and purchase the equipment to get just the right sound. I am very proud of this CD and sincerely hope that you will enjoy and appreciate the time and effort that was put in to Steppin Out.
Special thanks to Adam Christ for the artwork, Manna Maddy on Vocals, Al Dias on drums and percussion and to all the other musicians involved in this project.

After a few years of studying classical guitar -in my preteen years- I heard bands like: Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young, Santana, Led Zeppelin etc. And my music style took a dramatic change. I consider myself to be an acoustic guitarist but I also enjoy getting loud with the electric. As a matter of fact I collect vintage electric guitars, which I use on all of my recordings. My recording studio's walls are covered with vintage electric guitars; it is definitely my dream man-cave. My writing style is to lay down an acoustic guitar track - usually a picking style. Then I build on that acoustic, (almost classical), picking foundation by adding crunchy electric rhythm tracks, with one or more lead tracks using a vintage hollow body guitar to optimize the feedback. In many of the songs you will hear a synth transitioning you from bridge to chorus and then back to a pretty acoustic (but not too pretty) guitar accompanied by violin, cello or similar. The drums are manipulated in a very unique musical style by Al Dias while the songs are pulled together and wrapped up by our vocalist Maddy Streicek with her rich involving style.
Cheers!
