David Garlitz was born in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. He arrived in Paris by way of Philadelphia and Havana, where he cut his teeth as a guitarist and "tresero." In the city of lights he can be found on stage as a solo artist as well as with the quirky jazz-blues-latin trio known as Calamity Jeanne.
