Album Notes

This recording came about after performing at Kate’s Irish Pub in Springfield, VA for the last 10+ years. Only after I started playing there, did I actually learn to play Irish and, or Celtic music. Now I find joy in performing the music from the all the isles.
In early 2000 I had finished playing with the group, The Mighty Chihuahuas. The act was an acoustic duo that performed all over the east coast of the U.S. and we also spent a lot of time performing in ST.Croix, and ST. Thomas, U.S.V.I. I knew nothing about irish music at the time. After performing as a solo entertainer for a few months, I was connected with Kate’s Irish Pub in Springfield, VA. It bolted right up! After many years of being a resident musician at there, did I finally make this recording. Folks would always say “Do you have a cd I could take home?”
After a pint of Guinness , Jack says, “we should record this on reel to reel”. So we cleaned up the Tascam 48, and started the project. We would record a few tracks each weekend when I would come into town and play at K.I.P. This went on from April – Oct 2011. All tracks were recorded by people, not machines and without the help of computer editing or fixes. What you hear is what went on the tape and usually in a take (or two) ….
Wonderful Imperfections.
I hope you enjoy CD.
Well Wishes
