Originally released in 1999, this CD is the 3rd recording of the Rejoice! Band, Holy Trinity Lutheran Church's worship band. The strength of the CD is the simplicity of the acoustic sound. Songs such as the title track, "Take the Call," along with "Someone to Believe In," "Blessed." "Go in Peace." and "Sweet Jesus" are solid examples of this band at its best that still hold up after a decade. Even now, these songs are often requested at concerts and a part of David Jones' regular set list, especially the very personal "Go In Peace," which has been his closing blessing at every concert.

The Rejoice! Band was reformed into an alternative rock band and renamed Splintered in 2002, showing the titanic shift in style that we took as a congregation and as a band. Once again, we thank all of those who participated in the Rejoice! Band during its 8 years, for your faithfulness in leading worship and working with the at-risk youth of E. Pittsburgh.
