I've been writing songs, poetry, short stories and novels since I was a boy, some 35 years ago.
During my thirties I met and hung out with Jack Hardy at his Fast Folk Gatherings, out of which Sean Colvin and Suzzane Vega are perhaps the most notable alumni. My music has become a way for me to negotiate the intricacies of this life. After the World Trade Center disaster I found myself playing melodies and writing songs late at night on my Martin OM-23, trying to find some reason in the world after all the illusions were so clearly shattered.
Songwriting influences all my arts and is one with them. The art of song may be the most lasting art form we humans will ever have. Through it all, we must always sing.

author: West Coast Music Review
Intense urban poetry that reflects the uncertainty of the late 20th century. Beautifully played acoustic balladry. A must for anyone interested in Singer Songwriters who can truly sing and write.
