Album Notes

We believe this band is best appreciated live. Here’s our first in-concert recording. The set is all original and includes songs from my previous three albums. But you’ll also hear new songs and new arrangements, a few older tunes I rarely play, and some sweet interplay between the acoustic and electric six-strings. You’ll hear Richard's harmonica use variations on the melodies to set up Dr. Mickey Angel’s incredible guitar solos very nicely. Notice the way Mickey tells stories with his improvisations and puts an extra dose of rhythm into my tunes when he’s not soloing.

When we played on Gene Shay’s show on Philadelphia's WXPN, he said we provided, “a great demonstration of good band ensemble playing.” That’s what we hope we captured on this recording.
