Album Notes

Storytelling and performing children's music are two of my passions and talents. I travel to schools, libraries, preschools (all over really) to perform musical programs that are educational, entertaining, and motivating. While music is my passion, my love is teaching. For 11 years I taught first grade in Verona, Wisconsin. My music is an extension of my favorite part of teaching, which is helping children understand themselves and the world around them.

Personal appearances are educational, upbeat musical programs that involve children as active participants. The kids sing some, move some, act some, dance some, shout just a little bit, laugh a bunch, and learn some very important things. The adults just sit back and enjoy the show.

Playing music and singing have been parts of my life for over 15 years. I am a singer and guitar player for the "Cork n' Bottle String Band," a professional Bluegrass band based in Madison, WI. We have played a regular, weekly show in Madison for the past eight years and were voted "Madison's Favorite Folk Music Band" by the Isthmus Readers' Poll in 2001, 2002 and 2003. I have enjoyed playing for children since my first teaching job in 1990.

Great CD

My kids (7 and 5) heard David perform and then received the CD from Santa.  We sing with it in the car, but their favorite is to turn it up in the bedroom and dance and sing along!  "Why is my Kitty so Silly" is their fave.  it was great to find a CD that worked for both ages.  (and note: my 7 year old has begun to listen to the radio and also likes popular artists, but this kind of CD really gets her moving!)

Fun to sing along for mom and kids!

LOVE this CD - it's as good as his first CD and my boys love it. The songs are short and easy to sing along to. My boys are 3 and 5 and request this CD every time we get in the car. And the biggest bonus is that I don't mind listening (and singing along) to it!

I like this CD a lot.

This CD makes me dance, and it does not annoy my Mom so she will let me hear it in the car.  I especially like the frogs on the log song and the fact that the case is yellow.  Sometimes I just carry the CD case around and that makes me happy too.
