Album Notes

This is David Leonard’s first album, independently released on his own label Tilmon Records. It features 13 original finger-style acoustic instrumentals. The songs were recorded January 2011 at Sawtelle Recording Studio at Swallow Hill in Denver, Colorado. The album was mastered by two time Grammy award winning engineer David Glasser at Airshow Mastering in Boulder, Colorado.

The sound of the acoustic guitar was captured beautifully and the recordings have an incredible depth and quality which illustrate the entire spectrum of sound capable from one instrument. The songs showcase a wide capability of style. From the classically influenced pieces "Pedagogue" and "Thi", to the more traditional finger-style tunes "Breakfast at Noon" and "Summer Wheat", which may remind one of Chet Atkins.

In between are songs that are entirely unique such as the aggressive "T.V. Eyes", and "Like Hell"; which builds to a fantastic finish. Listeners will also enjoy the slower and more reflective songs represented by "Held by the Moon", and "Time Apart".
