PLEASE TAKE ME BACK TO NEW ORLEANS is a tune I wrote to a Bb blues progression, with a Cajun back beat.
With the help of Archie Williams, who knows this pocket so well. The beat is laid down by Jaimeo Brown on drums,
his dad Dartanyan Brown on bass, Archie Williams on guitar and John Mackay on piano. Then the groove is showered
with the arrangements of Peter Welker on trumpet, Jim Rothermel and Dale Gutridge on saxophones. To Fatten it
up and filling in all the spots, Warren Dennis Kahn played the Alesis QS8 Voice Master Controller/ Synthesizer.
I really like the thing that is done a the end, where it is sounds like a big party. With me scatting and the horns
doing the James Brown thing. "This is a new bag for me". Best regards and good listening,
