You can call native Corpus Christi, Texas artist David Martinez a late bloomer, but everything happens for a reason. "You won't know unless you try and sometimes fear is our biggest deterrent," says David.

David has played it safe all his life. He went to college, got a career (math teacher) and a Master's degree, but something was missing. When David hit the road in the summer of 2006 on an acoustic tour with a couple of fellow musicians, he realized that this is what he wanted to do.
"I was always afraid to see what I could accomplish because I was scared of failing, but triumph can't occur unless you learn from your mistakes."

David teamed up with former Geffen and Hollywood Records recording artist Leroy (Smash Mouth) in the summer of 2007 out in Los Angeles. Thanks to Leroy's mentorship, engineering (and tasty guest tracks that will make you raise your eyebrows!), David Martinez has come out of his shell at last
