Album Notes

I got a guitar for Christmas when I was in the 5th grade, and by high school, in 1965, I was playing in a band in Fremont, Ca. The band's name was The Tarantels, which later became Peter Wheat And The Breadmen. That same year, I had to move to So. Calif. with my mom and dad and older brother, Fred. By the way, I was just 15 years old.
I started playing in bands again while at North Hollywood High School. We played Pandora's Box, and Hullabaloo on Sunset Blvd. in Hollywood, as well as venues in The Valley.
After 5 1/2 years in the army, I was back in So. Calif. I had this dream that I wanted to record an album and write all the songs, plus do the cover artwork.
It took a few years to finally get to that point. Years that included playing all kinds of venues... from bars to Elk's Lodges. Years that also included getting married and having three kids.
In 1989, I finally got around to my original idea of making my own album.
I sold a few copies back then in my travels while playing music jobs, then put it on the back burner and it sat there for years. I finally came to the conclusion my album was just collecting dust, so we decided to bring it out one more time. Everybody knows that this country could use a little more humor these days!
Now, I'll be the first to admit that this album was probably twenty years ahead of it's time, because I sure caught some flack back then! But compared to today's standards, it is pretty mild.
There are nine songs on this album. I hope after you listen to my cd, you can find at least one song that will make you laugh or just help you have a better day.

Thank-you

David
