Album Notes

Star of David (David Morrison) was born in Montego Bay 9-15-57, in the parish St. James, Jamaica. As a youth David was influenced by singers like Dennis Brown and Bob Marley. He also had a tenacious love for soccer. David received a scholarship for soccer to St. Elizebeth Technical in Santa Cruz, JA. Later was a member on the Montego Bay Boys Club as starting left back. Star began singing with sound systems that regularly performed in Montego Bay. In 1972, star alongside childhood friends- AJ Brown and Denny formed a vocal trio called The Velvets. Morrison moved to New York in 1977, and with Luther Mckenzie, in 78' formed group called Sons Of Creation as the lead singer. The band moved to miami in 84' and changed the name to Sudden Impact. Sudden Impact recorded and released an album with Gong Sound. Was a longshoreman in miami. Auditioned for Abyssinians in 1996, and has been prominent member ever since. In his first solo release- “One day At A Time” , produced by Million 7 Sound and Celebrity Hornz, will prove to be one of the most influential Reggae albums of modern times.
