Album Notes

Saxophonist & composer David Prez studied at the French music conservatory of Lyon, graduating in 2000 with the highest level jazz diploma and the congratulations of the examining panel. He furthered his studies in the USA with Dave Liebman, and also Michael Brecker, Rick Margitza, Jerry Bergonzi...
This CD was recorded in 2004 in New Jersey (USA) and it's David's first recording as a leader.
In Paris David is currently leading his own group together with guitarist Romain Pilon, the "David Prez & Romain Pilon Group", which so far has recorded and released three albums (Fresh Sound New Talent & APO Records).
David is a also a founder member of Paris Jazz Underground Collective (www.parisjazzunderground.com).
He has performed with musicians Romain Pilon, Karl Jannuska, Yoni Zelnik, Dave Liebman, Sandro Zerafa, David Doruzka, Laurent Coq, Pierre de Bethmann, François Moutin... and in numerous festivals:
Jazz à Vienne, MIDEM in Cannes, Jazz sous les Pommiers, Le Printemps de Bourges, Malta Jazz Festival, Radio France, Bancko Jazz Festival (Bulgaria), Deer Head Inn (USA), Cargo (UK), Santiago de Cuba, Mercati Generali (IT) ...
