“Some bells toll and some peal. As long as they're not tolling that's appealing to me because they toll for funerals and peal for weddings. We last left the Lonesome Drover sitting on a dock watching his boat sail away and hoping in the direction of a new crew. This recording is a sequel. Lonesome Drover went straight to the harbor tavern, a little place on the edge of the fishing village he loved so well. He walked in, ordered a round and ran right smack into his new crew of musical brothers. Cantrell, a wily French-American, Earhart, heart in the right place, Ky in his duster, Jake the Kid and Danilo the Stallion. This was the bunch who would carry the legend to the next junction. There were yet songs to be made.”
