Album Notes

!. SECRET AGENT FROM THE FATHERLAND
"She kidnapped the director stole a million in gold, our military plans were in her hands
She's got long long legs and high cheekbones, she's a secret weapon from another land"
-Roadhouse Rock. Action-packed spy adventure story circa World War 2. (The "back-up vocals" on the choruses for this song were done by the multi-talented Krassy Halatchev.)

2. FIGHTING WITH A MAD MAN ON TOP OF A TRAIN
"But he waited outside with four of his friends
And they chased me through the woods but that's not the end"
-Rock Americana. Small town Saturday night adventure

3. PAYBACK IS A BITCH
Rock. Clashy arrangements give thrust to this story of revenge

4. A WARM KIND OF LOVE
-Tender ballad, crooner lounge type of song

5. GRAB THAT BROOM (AND FLY AWAY)
"From my castle tower room
I see your shadow against the moon
Riding on your magic broom
Above the dark night sky..."
-Swinger / Crooner song. Jazzy orchestration

6. HAPPY BIRTHDAY SWEETHEART
Lullaby with strong timbre vocals and "carrousel" style arrangement

7. ARCHEOLOGIST WOMAN
"The Amazon rain forests, ruined cities in the vine
The painted birds awake you from dreams of other times..."
-Lyrical love ballad. Exotic instrumentation

8. OWL CREEK BRIDGE
Country song filled with drama and suspense!

9. I RODE WITH JESSE JAMES
"Yeah I rode with Jesse James and trouble is my name
I'm good with my fists but I'm better with a gun and a knife"
-Country and Western. Autobiography of an outlaw.
What turned a decent farm boy into a brutally efficient killer of men?

10. MARY WAS A STRIPPER
"Mary was a stripper and I'm glad that I was with her
And there's nothing I would not give her
When she smiled that smile at me
She worked out every day, went dancin' every night
Showing that perfect body to a thousand hungry eyes"
-Slow Rock ballad about a love affair with a stripper. Floating vocals...

11. BLACK MINISKIRT
"She's a wet dream a-walkin' on a Saturday night
The wind on her legs makes her feel so right
Bubble bath skin that feels so smooth
She's got a date with destiny or maybe with you"
-Funky Pop Vocals ballad. A black miniskirt changed her life

12. IS THIS WHAT HAPPENS TO LOVE
"The way you used to look at me
When we talked of hopes and dreams"
-Love ballad. Techno arrangements blended with warm crooner vocals

13. SHEILA IS AN ANDROID
"She got chemical blood and DNA, she'll live for three hundred years"
-Techno-Rock song with some industrial sounds. Strange story

14. SECRET AGENT
"Her warehouse was surrounded she had nowhere to go
Her gang of spies were trapped but they wouldn't give up
They put their gas masks on and they waited for us
With machine guns and daggers and booby traps
The fighting was hot and heavy but she could not be found
Motorcycle ridin' through the sewers she really gets around"
-Same story as track # 1, but with Rock-A-Billy vocals and a "Peter Gunn-ish" arrangement.
Sexy, smart and dangerous "femme fatale" is on the loose. Does she get away?
If Hollywood makes a movie about this song, then which actress should play the lead role?

Grab That Broom (And Fly Away) was chosen as "Song of the day" on The Roy Cost Radio Show.

"listen to this wonder of an album"
"Headspinning stuff." "Roy Orbison-esque voice"
