Album Notes

David Spalding Sharp has played Traditional Flute for many years in the western part of the United States. His Celtic heritage served as a way to meet traditional artist from many cultures. This is a collection of Irish melodies and airs learned in Ireland when my wife and I traveled there and some from the rich tradition of session tunes. The instruments used in this recording are the simple system Irish or Celtic Flute, Bb and D Penny Whistles with Bodhran for percussion on some of the tracks.
