Album Notes

David Thomas Roberts is considered one of the formost composers working today. He writes mostly in the Ragtime idiom, but has been influenced by a broad spectrum of music. From Brazilian tangos to the country string band music of the Kessinger Brothers you will find it all on this cd. Of course classic ragtime is included with pieces by Scott Joplin and Joseph Lamb. Contempory composers Jack Rummel, Hal Isbitz, Tom Mcdermott,Frank French and Scott Kirby are represented as well. This a nice exposure to "New World" piano music.
