Recorded in a cabin studio in heart of the Cariboo in BC, Canada, davyno and the milers release: Cold Familiar Sky is the first solo album by davyno and friends. A mix of melodic alt country and high energy rock, the tracks on this recording are filled with original guitar tracks, thoughtful lyrics and great vocal harmonies.

davyno wrote and co-produced this record. as a singer/songwriter using inspiration from growing up in a small town, the tracks on Cold Familiar Sky are mostly songs about connecting with the good life in a changing world and dealing with the passing of people close to you. davyno sings, plays electric guitar, acoustic guitar and harmonica on this album.

mitch bennett:
along with producing, engineering and mixing this record, mitch bennett also sings, plays drums, acoustic and electric guitars, keyboards and bass on various tracks. mitch plays in The Milers and has a recording studio in vancouver where he records everything from folk to metal and everything in between. he is a talented producer who adds his incredible musicianship to many of the projects he works on. mitch can be reached for recording through the milers website: www.themilers.com
JR Olson:
along with being a solo artist with his own album, JR sings and plays bass and slide guitar on Cold Familiar Sky. as the bass player for the milers live show, jr adds unique songs, vocals and style to the group. with his original approach to singing and song writing he is a central part of the band as well as many tracks on the album. he is heading back to the studio this winter to record his next album.
Andy Krenz:
by learning how to play the squeezebox in half a day and composing unique vocal harmonies and bass lines, Andy adds an essential element to the recording. Andy also is a solo artist with his own album who joined the group to record several of the tracks on Cold Familiar Sky.
Bart Muhic:
though not on the studio recording, Bart is the drummer in the live Milers show when the band plays in venues around BC and Alberta. with huge energy and raw style and talent, Bart gives The Milers a unique sound that allows the group to play to audiences in folk, rock and punk rock lineups.
