Dawn Tyler Watson, known as Canada’s ‘Queen of the Blues’ is widely recognized as one of the best Canadian artists on the blues scene. Her recent Maple Blues Award for Best Female Vocalist follows receiving the 2004 Trophée France Blues for Best International Artist and the 2002 International Screamin’ Jay Hawkins Award, which is given to the international artist who has done an outstanding tour and is voted for by blues fans in France. She has toured the festival circuits in Canada, Europe and the US with her band, the Dawn Tyler Blues Project, and as a duo. Dawn’s rich palette of styles includes blues, jazz and gospel influences, and her fabulous voice and incandescent stage presence make for an unforgettable experience.
