Interesting combination of traditional and contemporary styles

This double CD shows examples of excellent songwriting and careful experimentation with roots music, mainly delta blues and slack key guitar. The two CDs, although significantly different in style sit well together. The production is mostly good with some minor defects. All in all, another excellent CD from an innovative musical act. Highly recommended!

Gutsy acoustic album. Great value.

Excellent songwriting and raw, rootsy production. This is a CD that is best listened to on your own. "The Dove" is one of the best 9/11 songs you will hear.

For the price this is incredible value. I recommend "Let Isabelle Out" to all jazz, blues, folk, bush, country and accustic music fans, and if you aren't one of those, this album will make you one. But I cannot put a name to the genre - it's all of those.
All the tracks are all good and well produced. Some touched my funny bone - e.g. suburban cowboy - some my heart - e.g. my grandfather's house - and all are great listening. Excellently produced. More info in the cover notes about the songs and tunes and artists would be helpful.
I look forward to playing "Let Isabelle Out" on my radio program, "Tom's Aussie Muster & Bush Music Show" 6 - 8 pm Sundays, Blue Mountains Community Radio, BLU-FM 89.1
PO Box 62, Springwood 2777. We have far reach on both sides of the Mountains, and a great following.
