Smooth, rich, pure - this is the sound Dayne Otto brings as she takes you back to the days of the Big Band. This debut album is a showcase for her velvety-smooth, deeply expressive vocal ability. Dayne is joined by several great artists-Roscoe Beck, Brannen Temple, Dave Sebree and Eric Daub.
A native Texan, Dayne remembers music being an integral part of growing up. Whether it was Texas swing, Big Band or great Gospel, music was central to family life. After doing studio work and dinner theatre in Dallas, Dayne settled in central Texas with her husband Jay and their two children.
Dayne would echo the words of Eric Liddell (1902-1945),Olympic athlete and missionary to China "I believe God made me for a purpose, but He also made me fast - when I run I feel His pleasure...."
"I (Dayne) feel God's pleasure in the gift of music that He gives, and I consider it a great privilege to be given the opportunity to sing and share that gift with others."
For the past 15+ years Dayne has been immersed in family life and all that goes along with it. As a gift for her 40th birthday, her husband surprised her with studio time to produce a CD of some of their favorite love songs. What a gift it is!

Love my copy of Standard Fare so much that I purchased one for our son--an early Father's Day order. What dreamy old favorites.

Listening to Dayne Otto is a little bit of heaven in my own home.

The song selections are classics. The artist sings with the quality and resonance of a beautiful bell in perfect pitch. The instrumentals are a delightful complement. I cannot resist grabbing my mike, er, I mean hairbrush to sing along with her.
Hugs and big thanks,
Kay
