A mixture of downtempo grooves, ethereal vocals and live instruments, \"Selkie\" is a highly unique sounding album perfect for the post-clubbing chill with its atmospheric, uplifting melodies and rhythms.

ALBUM NOTES
Selkies are mythological creature with the ability to transform themselves from seals into beautiful human form...

1. CITY NIGHTS - Once in human form, Selkie folk dance on stretches of moonlit shore...
2. WALKING IN SUNSHINE - or bask in the warm sunlight.
3. MOUNTAIN GAMES - If disturbed while on shore, Selkie folk hastily rush back to the safety of the sea.
4. STOLEN TIME - A Selkie can only make contact with one particular human being for a brief time before they must return to the sea. They may not make contact again for seven years.
5. MIDNIGHT - Some tales say that Selkie were ablr to carry out their transformation only once a year, usually Midsummer\'s Eve.
6. RELEASED - Sometimes, s Selkie maiden was taken as a wife by a human man who stole her seal skin. Eventually, one of their children would inadvertantly discover the precious skin, and she would leave to return to the sea.
7. EPIC JOURNEY - If a girl went missing at sea, it was inevitably said that her Selkie lover had taken her on a final journey to his watery domain.
8. CALLING - Should a mortal woman wish to make contact with a Selkie man, she must make her way to the shore at high tide and shed seven tears ino the sea.
9. SELKIE - Heads bobbing above the waves, playful Selkie are often seen close to the shore, watching inquisitively with uncannily human eyes.
10. LETTING YOU GO - Sometimes a human will not know that their lover is a Selkie, and will awake to find them gone.

BIOGRAPHY
Danielle currently works as a freelance composer for Film & TV, and is also harpist and singer for the folk band Elphin.
