This album grew out of a collaboration when Bruce took his lyrics for a single song and asked Dave to put them to music. From that first project, Bruce was hooked, and Dave was the music man that gave life to his words. They became like Bernie Taupin & Elton John, with Bruce writing the lyrics in New Jersey, and sending them along with ideas for the sound or style of song to Dave in California. Before long, they had assembled a half-dozen songs that they both were really proud of, and then the concept of building towards a whole CD germinated. This CD is the byproduct of all that work & the realization of a lyricist's dream. Dave Nachmanoff is an accomplished musician and singer-songwriter, as well as a long-term lead guitarist for Al Stewart on tour. Dave has a number of solo CDs out as well, mostly in the folk genre, as well as a live concert CD with Al Stewart entitled "Uncorked."

I got my copy in the mail on Friday and here's all you need to know IMHO-
If you are a fan of Dave's earlier music you will like this disc as well. Yes,
the words are written by someone else but Bruce has some great ideas and has written some very good songs the music is mostly Dave (the tone of
the music for a track may have been suggested by Bruce, though).
I thought of various other artists while listening- the Proclaimers,Fountains Of
Wayne, Loggins & Messina , Al Stewart and Dave Nachmanoff to name a few.
I can enthusiastically reccomend this disc to Al - and especially- Dave fans
here. It will be money well spent. I'm looking forward to Dave playing some of
these tunes live in May when he's in my area.
The mix of the two individuals eforts is done very well. There are some fun
tunes and some serious ones as well.
