The Dust Bowl Cavaliers is a six man hot-damn hootenanny which brings together traditional bluegrass, Appalachian folk music, classic country, alt-country and some rock tunes done old-timey style.
The group's repertoire has grown to more than forty numbers, including old-timey songs like "Penny's Farm" and "Old Joe Clark", early country hits such as "Folsom Prison Blues" and "Hey, Good Lookin'" and even string band versions of tunes by U2 and the Flaming Lips.
The DBC live shows are exciting, spontaneous, and often pretty darn funny (all the boys in the band do improv in various LA comedy groups). The Dust Bowl Cavaliers are performing regularly throughout Southern California.

Hot Dang!

Well, I've been waiting for this one ever since I heard the first album. Great news - it did not disappoint!!! In fact, the boys have really tightened up their already stellar bluegrass music. Can't stop listening to this album either. Very addictive. The only warning - be prepared for some strange looks when you're blasting this in your car and singing along!
