Album Notes

Debbie Brewin-Wilson headlines at festivals and venues throughout North America, playing the Celtic harp and singing. Debbie earned a Scottish Certificate in Traditional Music from the University of St. Andrews, St.Andrews, Scotland, in 1999, and delights in bringing traditional Scottish music to her audiences. As a member of the International Society of Folk Harpers and Craftsmen's Traveling Teachers program, Debbie shares her music and knowledge with other harpers.

Debbie has three recordings to her credit: "Love Came Down at Christmas," a totally acoustic recording featuring Celtic Christmas music; "Roots and Wings," which highlights Debbie's songwriting talents; and "Dream of Caledonia," a more traditional Celtic recording with friends joining in on tin whistle and guitar. Debbie also published two books of Robert Burns songs, "Burns for Bairns," and "Wood-Notes Wild."

With Kathy DeAngelo, Debbie runs the Harpers' Escape Weekend each autumn, teaching harp technique and mentoring new harpers. Honoring the past through her interpretation of traditional tunes while facing the future through her own music, Debbie's warm, earthy style quickly connects her with listeners. Find out why Debbie Brewin-Wilson is not "just another Celtic harper."
