Sal Santinoli

Best album ever!
I grew up listening to this album - Pretty Brown - by David Campbell. To me this CD is a master piece, an album that will remain #1 in my all time most listened to and inspring albumns list. It has also been very influential to my own musical sense and style as a musician. It is deeply empowering for all people who carry mother earth close to their heart, and particularly for Native Americans, Children and Women ...
I make sure to play it for my children often so that they too can be enriched by it's wonderful music and poetry. My new born baby already loves it.
The poetry is exquisite and each song paints colourful landscapes through which the listener is transported.
Each song is a gem. I could write a page of praise for every song. Personal favourites: Little star dancer – beautiful song for one’s chid(ren); River Child – for those having to leave their homeland and emigrate and the longing that comes from being from 2 worlds; Cree Woman – a beautiful romantic ode to the beauty of our native women; Metis Angelina – reassuring and healing to those of us who often struggle with being mixed native/non-native (or any other racial/ethnic mix for that matter); Grandfathers – a heart wrenching yet uplifting ode to the vanishing place and wisdom of our elders. 2 Thumbs up, two fists in the air and 10 stars for this album!!! Thank you David Campbell for sharing your gifts with the World!
