Album Notes

The DDP band, featuring Marcelo Caceres on guitar, Emiliano Almeida on drums, JC Portillo on bass and Jose Fernandez on percussion, was founded by Diego De Pietri (alias DDP), a Los Angeles-based singer, songwriter and pianist. Over the years DDP has played the keyboards with some of the hottest Latin artists, including Christian Castro, La Ley and Miguel Mateos, Rabito, Paulina Rubio, Charlie Zaa among others.

The DDP band has released six independent CD's: 'Guardias a Mi' (1993), 'Sin Tu Amor' (1998), 'No 'Q' Jazzy Man' (1999), 'La Esquina del Crem' (2001), 'Cuentos de Fantasmas (2003) and 'Postura Camaleon' (2006).

Here’s some of what the media has to say about this exciting up and coming group:

"A powerful mix of pop/r&b/funk in spanish." (L.A. Weekly)

"Strong lyrics and agressive piano playing, you have to listen the rest..." (La Opinion)

"Like Ricardo Arjona Meets Mana. A groundbreaking Los Angeles 'pop/r&b-in-spanish' band fronted by DDP." (LA times)

"The Larry David ('Curb your enthusiasm', 'Seinfeld') of the latin pop music" (Rolling Stone magazine)

The DDP Band is currently on the road supporting the release of their latest recording, “Postura Camaleon”
